There are particularities for anti-slip soles, and the material and pattern are the key!

Different sole pattern styles, widths, directions, and depths will affect the anti-slip performance:

1. Under the same road conditions, the anti-slip performance of the broken line pattern is better than that of the horizontal and vertical stripes; the denser the wave pattern, the stronger the anti-slip performance.

2. The wider the width of the sole pattern, the greater the friction coefficient and the better the anti-slip performance.

3. When the pattern direction is 0° and 45°, the friction coefficient between the soles is larger and the anti-slip performance is better.

Most people think that the more patterns on the sole, the more anti-slip. In fact, this is not absolute.

Usually, the actual contact area of softer materials will increase, so the friction will be higher and the anti-slip effect will be relatively improved.
Therefore, the more patterns on the sole, the better, the deeper the anti-slip, the softer the material and the better the resilience. Such a sole has good anti-slip performance.

Shoes with rubber soles have the best anti-slip performance, and shoes with polyurethane soles have the worst anti-slip performance.
Rubber is mostly used in various sports shoes, and high-grade rubber is used in high-grade leather shoes.

Advantages: good wear resistance, anti-slip, good softness and elasticity.
Disadvantages: heavy weight.
