Screen printing, also known as screen printing, is an image replication technology that uses screen as a plate making material, and uses a scraper to scrape and squeeze the ink on the plate, so that the ink is printed onto the substrate.

1, The basic elements of screen printing are the screen, ink, and scraper.

I. Ink: Different inks and printing processes are used according to the printing type and effect requirements. The following three examples illustrate:

Case 1: Ordinary Printing (Taking the following picture as an example of ordinary printing):
1. Primer gold oil: Scrape 2 times * 3 times each time to fully adhere the ink to the substrate and prevent ink from falling off.
2. Ink: Scrape 2 times * 3 times each time, and print the corresponding ink according to the required color.

Case 2: Stereoscopic Printing (Taking Stereoscopic Printing as an Example):
1. Primer gold oil: Scrape 2 times * 3 times each time to fully adhere the ink to the substrate and prevent ink from falling off.
2. Three dimensional gold oil: Scrape 3 times * 7 times each time to print a three-dimensional effect.
3. Base color/background color: Scrape 2 times * 3 times each time to highlight 4. Pearl effect.
4. Pearl powder: Scrape 2 times * 3 times each time, with a pearl effect, and the background color will enhance the pearl effect.
5. High gloss gold oil: Scrape 2 times * 4 times each time, with a high gloss effect on the surface (it can also be matte, flat, etc.).

Case 3: Transfer Paper Printing (Taking Transfer Paper Printing as an Example):
1. Ink: Scrape 2 times * 3 times each time, and print the corresponding ink according to the required color.
2. Adhesive: Scrape 2 times * 3 times each time, and during transfer printing, use heat and pressure to adhere the adhesive to the material, with ink on the upper layer.

II. Scraper, the edge of the scraper must be smooth to ensure seamless contact with the screen. The ink is transferred onto the substrate through the mesh holes on the screen by scraping force. The scraper has a width and size, and the appropriate size is selected according to the printing pattern.

2, Discussion on the Principles of Screen Layout

Screen layout should fully consider factors such as the size of the frame, the shape and size of the substrate and logo pattern, and the maximization of the number of pieces that can be printed at a time. Give an example.

Case 1:
Layout Method 1 and Layout Method 2 as shown in the following figure: Layout Method 1 prints 4 sheets at a time, while Layout Method 2 prints 6 sheets at a time. By comparison, it can be found that for a single printing on the same screen, typesetting method 2 has a 50% increase in efficiency/output compared to typesetting method 1. The shoe factory produces in large quantities, which is a significant increase in efficiency and output.

Is it better to have more layout? No, as in the case of the cutting size, if 8 pieces are printed each time, it will exceed the size of the commonly used screen. Creating larger screen sizes will increase employee fatigue, thereby affecting efficiency and quality. So, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the balance point and optimal value based on the size of the screen and the arrangement of the cut pieces. If the number is small, there is a chance to take 8 photos, as shown in the following picture.

Case 2:
The layout shown in the following two images is loose for the first and compact for the second. The advantages of compactness are: 1 Due to the close proximity of the logo pattern, employees can choose to use smaller/narrower scrapers, which saves more effort; If it is a small number, there is a chance to line up an extra column, which can improve efficiency by 33%; 3. On the same tablet, a compact arrangement saves space and allows for more cutting pieces to be arranged.
